Today is Pi Day!       3.1415926535897932384… and more! 

 

Mme Spinks left a couple of Pi Day jokes – What do mathematicians eat for supper on March 14th? Chicken Pot Pi!         What will they eat for dessert? Chocolate Pi!

And one more… What are 3.14% of sailors? Pi-rates!!! 😊 😊 😊

 

Athletics:  

The Varsity Boys Volleyball team will practice today from 3-4:30pm.

The JV Girls Volleyball tryouts continue tonight from 6-7:30 for all grade 8 girls.

The JV Boys Volleyball tryouts will continue today from 4:30-6pm. The tryout is for Grade 8s and any boys from grade 6 or 7 who were unable to attend on Tuesday.

A call back list will be posted on Friday for all Volleyball teams.

Volleyball intramurals today will be postponed until Monday. The gym is not available today at lunch.

Intramural referees please check the board outside the gym to see when you will be reffing next week.

Library:  There is a cool March Madness book tournament happening in the library this month. Check out the library bulletin board each week and vote on your favorite book series. See what one comes out on top. Voting ballots available at the Librarian’s desk.

Music:  

Tech:  Tech room computers will only be available for grade 7 students who have not completed their work, this is in effect until the end of the term.

PRIDE Passes Two great ballots drawn today. Thanking a grade 6 student who helped to pick up chess pieces that other students left out and a grade 7 student was recognized for showing care and concern for other classmates, displaying great kindness!

Other:

This afternoon, grade 7 and 8 students will be going to the gym for a MADD Canada presentation. You are to report to your period 4 class and you will be called down as a grade level. Grade 6s will follow their regularly scheduled programming.

 

St. Patrick’s Day is coming up this weekend, so we are inviting all staff and students to wear green or dress Irish tomorrow. Class points will be awarded for the most Irish bunch of lads and lasses!  ​
